Keith on Canadian girls

The hard work and commitment of young women on the home front prompted Keith to write this in a letter to his mother on May 22 1944.

'They draft the girls when they are eighteen either into the army as farm ? or some war work, maybe if some of those girls in Canada would get off their fat asses & help over here the girls here wouldn’t have to work as hard, of course its no place for a girl but who the heck ever said Canadian boys had a place over here no one likes to leave home but after all there is a war on.'
